The Rotor Lock (locking pin) is a locking system (Rotor Lock) that is used to lock the rotors of wind turbines mechanically when servicing is required. Rotor Locks in wind turbines are important safety components.
The hydraulically or electromechanically moved pins with position monitoring serve as a locking mechanism for locking rotors. The locking function is monitored with sensors.
Overview: EMB-STOP RL electrical Rotor Lock / locking pin
EMB-STOP RL electrical Rotor Lock / locking pin
Reliable, electrical locking pin for wind turbines
EMB-STOP RL is an electrical locking pin.
The electrical locking pin, also called Rotor Lock, is a locking system that is used to lock the rotors of wind turbines mechanically when servicing is required after shutdown.
Rotor Lock systems of the EMB-STOP RL series are the electrical version of our locking pins and are suitable for cross forces of up to max. 4,000 kN in wind turbines (wind energy plants).
Alternatively to the electrical Rotor Lock, we also supply the hydraulic rotor locking system KTR-STOP RL.
