Description

Product Overview
  • Smart cartridge designed by Kunak that integrates a sensor capable of accurately and reliably measuring ozone (O3) levels.
  • Utilizes GasPlug TECHNOLOGY and features a patented design.
  • Provides reliable real-time data on ozone concentrations.

Where is it found?
  • Ozone (O3) is found in the troposphere and is the result of atmospheric reactions involving precursor pollutants from both natural and man-made sources.
  • Precursor pollutants originate from human activities and include hydrocarbons and nitrogen oxides.
  • Major sources: cars and other vehicles, fossil fuel power plants, oil refineries, agriculture sector, and various industries.

Why is it harmful?
  • Ozone (O3) is a reactive gas present in two atmospheric layers: the stratosphere (upper layer) and the troposphere (ground level up to 15 km).
  • In the upper layer, ozone is essential for protecting the Earth from the sun’s ultraviolet rays.
  • At lower levels, ozone acts as a greenhouse gas and air pollutant, harmful to human and ecosystem health, and is a major component of urban smog.

O3 Cartridge
  • The ozone cartridge has a built-in electrochemical sensor responsive to NO2 and O3 concentrations.
  • Accurate O3 measurement requires installation of both the O3 and NO2 cartridges in the same device.
  • The Kunak algorithm considers both concentrations, allowing for accurate O3 measurements without NO2 influence, even at high temperatures related to higher O3 concentrations due to solar radiation.
