Overview
The FAE3000S automatic extractor performs solvent extraction of water samples for petroleum and animal and plant oil determination. It is designed for surface water, groundwater, sewage and industrial wastewater analyses using carbon tetrachloride as the extraction solvent.

Standards compliance
Conforms to national standard HJ637-2012 Water quality — Determination of petroleum and animal and plant oil — Infrared photometric method, and is developed for standardized water-sample extraction.

Operation and capacity
The FAE3000S automates solvent dosing and extraction. The operator measures and loads samples, sets extraction parameters, and starts the cycle. The unit quantitatively dispenses carbon tetrachloride, carries out the extraction and transfers the extract to collection bottles. It accepts sample volumes from 0 to 1000 ml and can extract up to three samples simultaneously; typical single-sample extraction time is 3–10 minutes.

Applications
Suitable for oil determination in surface water, groundwater, sewage and industrial wastewater, and for automatic quantitative extraction of water samples using carbon tetrachloride.
