Short description:Portable fully automatic infrared oil analyzer for quantifying total petroleum and animal/plant oils in surface water, groundwater and industrial wastewater.
Meeting the standard:Complies with national standard HJ637-2012 "Water quality — Determination of petroleum and animal and plant oil — Infrared photometric method".
Technical principle:According to HJ637-2012, oil is extracted from water using tetrachloromethane (CCl4) or tetrachloroethylene (C2Cl4). An oil/water separation membrane replaces anhydrous sodium sulfate to remove impurities and moisture. The extracted solution is measured by infrared spectrometry at wave numbers 2930 cm-1, 2960 cm-1 and 3030 cm-1 to determine total extracts, petroleum and animal/plant oil content via absorbance values A2930, A2960 and A3030.

Instrument application range:Designed for measuring oil content in surface water, groundwater and industrial wastewater; supports dilution or enrichment extraction methods for a wide concentration range.
Work structure principle:WOA-6000 consists of a host computer, operating software, infrared spectroscopic system and magnetic stirring extraction system. Using a specified extraction solvent and drum-type stirring extraction, oils are extracted, filtered through an oil/water separation membrane into a cuvette and analyzed by the infrared spectrometer. With an optional magnesium silicate adsorption column, the instrument distinguishes mineral oil from animal/plant oils. The process is automated: automatic filling, extraction, separation, measurement, cleaning, waste discharge and data storage, minimizing operator exposure to solvents.
