Product overviewWOA-400B is a fully automatic infrared oil-in-water analyzer designed for laboratory determination of petroleum, animal and vegetable oils in wastewater. The instrument integrates automatic sampling, extraction, phase separation, measurement and cleaning to avoid operator contact with reagents such as tetrachloroethylene.
Purpose and reference methodIntended for laboratory analysis of oil content in industrial and municipal wastewater. Conforms to national infrared spectrophotometry standards for determination of petroleum, animal fats and vegetable oils in water.
Core technology- Closed-loop reagent management and waste gas separation to isolate extractant from water and operators.
- Core oil–water separation membrane with anti-blocking and demulsification properties; single membrane reuse up to 100 cycles and acoustic/visual breakage alarm.
- High-precision syringe dosing for accurate reagent delivery and automatic dilution.
- Software-controlled switching between UV/IR detection and semi/fully automatic modes.
Technical characteristics- Automated sample processing, system cleaning, measurement and data storage; extractant isolated during storage, extraction, analysis and waste discharge.
- Continuous batch processing capacity ≥ 10 samples (configurable 6–16).
- Injection modes: automatic and manual; automatic mode interfaces with pre-treatment unit for continuous measurement; manual mode supports stand-alone extracted samples.
- Tetrachloroethylene extraction efficiency ≥ 95%.
- Automatic sample volume measurement, error ≤ 2%.
- Automatic preparation of calibration standards, automatic dilution of high-concentration samples, configurable dilution ratios.
- Insufficient-extractant alert and reagent residue detection.
- Pre-treatment unit: dedicated 100 mL graduated extraction bottle for direct field sampling and on-instrument testing; bottle made of non-lipophilic material with special carrying case.
- Independent pipelines for reagent filling, sample extraction and waste discharge to prevent cross-contamination.
- Health and safety: closed extraction workflow and standard fume hood operation to protect personnel.
- High-precision automatic injector: reagent volume 0–600 mL configurable; supports QC sample prep and one-click calibration.
- One-click calibration using infrared oil standard filters; supports single- and multi-point automatic calibration.
- One-button start for sequential sample testing to reduce operator workload.
- Automatic separation, collection and recovery of wastewater and waste tetrachloroethylene with upgraded reuse capability.
- Built-in 12-inch touch computer, Windows control, USB interface, RS485 for LIMS connectivity and remote monitoring via mobile app.
- Good baseline stability with automatic real-time zero adjustment; fault self-inspection with audible/visual alarms.
- Automatic tracking and display of remaining magnesium silicate for replacement and unlimited automatic filling/replacement per national standards.
- Three-wavenumber characteristic-peak spectrogram scanning with automatic scaling for concentration traceability.
