Overview This product is a lubricating and cooling fluid designed for metallographic sample preparation, suitable for both fine sanding with abrasive paper and diamond polishing. It lubricates and cools the contact area, removes debris, prevents corrosion and minimizes scratches and surface deformation to improve preparation efficiency and surface quality.
How to use - During fine sanding: spray or add drops of lubricant onto the abrasive paper to keep it moist; replenish during grinding and flush away abrasive debris to prevent clogging, overheating or specimen rust.
- During polishing: use with polishing cloths and diamond polishing fluids or pastes; apply dropwise in small amounts to keep the cloth slightly moist for lubrication, cooling and improved finish.
- After processing: rinse the specimen thoroughly with clean water and dry by blowing or wiping.
Variants and packaging - MP-B (blue, alcohol-based): cooling and lubricating agent for fine grinding and diamond polishing of most materials — 1000 ml bottle.
- MP-R (red, alcohol-based): cooling lubricant for final diamond polishing of slightly softer materials — 1000 ml bottle.
- MP-G (green, alcohol-based): for fine grinding and diamond polishing of most materials — 1000 ml bottle.
- MP-Y (yellow, oil-based): final polishing lubricant for soft lead/tin and water-sensitive materials — 1000 ml bottle.
Technical specifications - Product family: MP series (MP-B, MP-R, MP-G, MP-Y)
