The UPS modules secure the DC power supply:
- Electrical:
Input signal: 24Vdc 20A.
Output signal: 24Vdc. Discharge current: 20A; charge current: 2A.
- Output contacts:
Independent contacts indicate the operating status: ready, charging, or discharging.
- Physical:
Metal enclosure, DIN rail mountable, width of 3 modules.
Connection via screw terminals.
- Reliability of power supply:
The UPS module must be positioned between the stabilized power supply and the powered device, and coupled with an external battery.
When the stabilized power supply is operating correctly, the UPS module draws power to charge the external battery.
In the event of a stabilized power supply failure, the UPS module delivers DC current from the external battery to temporarily power the downstream device. The backup duration depends on the battery capacity and the power drawn by the powered device.
