All-in-one measurement solution integrated under the molded circuit breaker, the MAD range offers unique advantages in terms of installation simplicity, reduction of components, and maintenance risks:
- Measurements:
The unit allows complete analysis of an electrical circuit in three-phase or four-phase:
- Instantaneous measurements: Single and compound voltages, current per phase and neutral, active, reactive, apparent power, frequency, power factor
- Energy measurements: Active and reactive (positive and negative), apparent, reactive 4 quadrants
- Quality: Voltage and current imbalance, distortion rates and harmonic content up to the 31st order
- Accuracy:
Active energy measurement class 0.5
- Electrical:
Auxiliary power supply 80 … 270 VAC
- Integration:
The unit connects directly to the output terminals of the 3 phases of the molded circuit breaker. It acts as an extension of the breaker.
The unit's dimensions allow perfect compatibility with the main manufacturers' circuit breakers, rated 400A and 630A.
- Communication:
Modbus RTU via RS485 port
- Inputs and outputs:
The measurement unit is equipped with 2 digital inputs and 1 programmable relay output
- Circuit control and alarms:
The relay is programmable on reaching min or max threshold of current, voltage, power, phase imbalance, etc., allowing:
- to protect electrical circuits
- to perform alarm functions in case of fault or inappropriate signal
- to perform automatic load shedding in case of overload
- Status feedback of electrical circuits:
The 2 digital inputs allow monitoring the status of auxiliary circuits or devices and alert in case of failure or circuit break
- Data logging:
Energy and power indexes are recorded at a programmable frequency in 1-minute steps. Recorded data can be viewed via software and exported in .csv format
- Supervision:
Remote monitoring of measurements via Modbus, on third-party software or the free provided software.
For local monitoring, flush-mount displays for cabinet doors are available as options. Offered in 2 different formats, they connect to the units via a single RJ12 cable
- Cost reduction:
- Component savings: Compared to a traditional installation, an integrated MAD measurement unit eliminates the need for:
- External current transformers
- Circuit breakers or fuse holders to protect voltage taps
- Connection cables
- Time saving: Faster installation due to fewer components
- Maintenance reduction:
The "all-in-one" design avoids failure risks on auxiliary components, connection cables, and connection points
- Compliance: CE, RoHS, REACh
- Applicable standards: IEC61557-12, GB/T 22264.7, IEC61326-1, IEC61010-1
- Variants and order codes:
This unit is offered in 2 current ranges to select according to the associated circuit breaker rating:
