IEC 309 standard

Leviton's IEC 60309 Connectors feature housings constructed of a rugged thermoplastic which provides maximum protection from physical and environmental abuse. They also resist impact, heat, flame and chemicals, provide superior performance in low-to-high ambient temperature extremes and offer excellent UV stability for superior outdoor performance (UL1682). Contacts are self-adjusting and machine-calibrated for accurate contact pressure and designed for superior wiping and cleaning action. Clean brass construction resists corrosion and provides superior contact and low electrical resistance. All connectors are color-coded by voltage for easy identification.
