Description

Description
We supply self-adhesive labels and hanging tags specifically designed for the wood industry. They are formulated to adhere to porous, rough or treated wood surfaces (oils, varnishes, preservatives), withstand outdoor exposure (UV, rain) and maritime transit. Options include ISPM-15 traceability for export and non-adhesive hanging tags fixed with staples, ties or wire.

Key features
  • Adhesion on porous and treated wood surfaces.
  • Resistance to outdoor UV, moisture and tearing.
  • Available in self-adhesive and non-adhesive hanging formats depending on application.
  • Batch and origin traceability for export in compliance with ISPM-15.

Main applications
  • Adhesive labeling of boards, panels and sheets in outdoor storage yards.
  • Hanging tags for pallets and packages secured with staples or cable ties.
  • Batch and origin traceability for export under ISPM-15 phytosanitary rules.
  • Product identification in containers for maritime transit.
  • Labeling on oiled, varnished or otherwise treated wood.

Typical materials
  • Hanging tags (PP, PE, PET) without adhesive, punched for mechanical fixation.
  • UV-stabilized polypropylene: synthetic material with UV stabilizers for prolonged outdoor storage.
  • Polyester: resistant to humidity, UV and temperature changes; recommended for maritime transit.
  • High-cohesion adhesives or aggressive formulations for low surface energy substrates.

Typical operating conditions
  • Porous, irregular or treated surfaces that reduce available surface energy for adhesion.
  • Prolonged outdoor storage with direct UV exposure and temperature/humidity variations.
  • Maritime transit in containers with high relative humidity and rapid temperature swings.
  • Heavy mechanical handling (forklifts, conveyors, palletizing) requiring tear resistance.

Technical requirements and standards
  • Batch and origin traceability certified according to ISPM-15 for international phytosanitary export.
  • Resistance to mechanical tearing during handling: material must not tear or detach.
  • Legibility of 1D/2D codes or QR after 30+ days of environmental exposure.
  • For hanging tags: tensile strength at the punch/fixation point.

Technical specifications
  • Operating temperature range: −10 °C to +60 °C.
  • Applicable standard: ISPM-15 (traceability and marking for wood packaging in export).
  • Resistances: outdoor UV, ambient humidity, tear and mechanical abrasion.
  • Traceability: support for batch and origin; compatible with 1D barcodes, DataMatrix and QR.
  • Recommended materials: UV polypropylene, polyester, hanging tags in PP/PE/PET according to exposure and required strength.
  • Adhesives: high-cohesion adhesives for porous substrates; aggressive adhesives for low surface energy surfaces (oiled or varnished wood); validation on a real sample is recommended.
