The SD Series High-Current Bistable Latching Relay supports remote power switching applications requiring high continuous current passage, large engine starting needs, and high ambient temperatures.
Capable of being remotely controlled with a fine wire harness, the SD high-current automotive relay eliminates the need to route heavy copper cables directly to accessible mechanical disconnects. Cables can instead be routed directly to loads with the SD relay positioned close to the battery or in line with the desired cable routing.
As a bistable latching relay, it draws no current in the on or off state, which reduces overall power consumption, and its compact footprint is ideal for installations with limited space.
In addition, the SD relay is designed to perform in harsh commercial vehicle environments, carrying both UL 94 V-0 flammability and IP66/IP69K ratings and meeting US DOT 11579 and EU ADR requirements for hazmat vehicle compliance.
