Overview
POLAX-15N is a polarizing plate engineered to prevent the "blue leak" phenomenon observed with thin-film linear polarizers. When two polarizing plates are crossed, some products transmit relatively more light at wavelengths ≤450 nm, producing a bluish cast. POLAX-15N intercepts short-wavelength light across the visible spectrum so crossed plates do not produce bluish transmitted light. It is suited for visible-light applications requiring high light interception and high optical quenching ratio, such as microscopy and optical measurement instruments.
