Feed forces can therefore be reduced by up to 50 % compared with similar replaceable drill heads. This allows for signifi cant performance increases and short machining times. The TTD Type 04 is designed for steel and cast materials and achieves very good machining results even for problematic and diffi cult machining tasks. This is achieved because the drill features an optimal centring capability and the chips are optimally discharged into the chip spaces of the TTS holder as a result of the special facet geometry. In addition, very smooth running is enhanced by the special 3-chamfer geometry. The combination of these properties enables long tool lives and drilling results to be achieved at the highest level.
