Overview
The ICO50 provides a controlled CO2 incubation environment optimized for reproducible cell culture growth. It combines precise CO2 and humidity regulation, multi-zone temperature control, hygienic design and advanced connectivity for laboratory integration.

Range of functions
Calibration: three freely selectable setpoints (temperature, humidity, CO2). Interfaces: USB-C, Ethernet LAN. Timer modes: immediate start; SetpointWAIT (process time starts after all setpoints reached); Timer on Event (start at defined time). Languages: English (default), German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Russian, Italian, Serbian. Appliance functions: date/time (time zones), display brightness, DistanceView (1–4 parameters), network settings (IP, subnet, DHCP), language and volume (buzzer/key tone), power-failure behaviour, timer functions. Adjustable parameters: temperature; CO2; humidity (option K7); O2 (option T6). Control unit: 6.86" IPS multi-touch display (480 × 1280) for graphical display of setpoint/actual values and parameter curves.

O2 (only with T6 option)
Control system: Anaerobic O2 control for targeted oxygen reduction via filtered nitrogen inlet. Zirconium oxide sensor with integrated monitoring and error display. Adjustment precision: 0.1 %. Setting range: 1 to 20 % O2.

Temperature
Control system: Large-area multi-zone all-round heating with additional door, seal and rear-wall heating. Setting range: +20 to +50 °C. Working range: from 5 °C above ambient up to +50 °C. Built-in sterilisation programme: 60 min at 180 °C (sensors may remain in place). Setting accuracy: 0.1 °C. Spatial uniformity at 37 °C: ±0.3 K. Temporal stability at 37 °C: ±0.1 K.

Humidity
Humidification: Passive via integrated water tank with condensate return; Peltier limitation. Option K7: active closed-loop humidity control with capacitive sensor, micro-dosing pump for hot-steam humidification and diaphragm pump for dehumidification. Accuracy: 0.5 % RH. Setting range: 40–98 % RH and rh‑Off.

CO2
Control system: Dual-beam NDIR CO2 measurement with pressure compensation and integrated monitoring. Filtered CO2 supply. Temporal fluctuation: ±0.2 %. Setting range: 0–20 % CO2.

Safety
Power-failure behaviour: manual and program modes with differentiated handling depending on outage duration; parameters are stored. Temperature monitoring: dual Pt1000 sensors, DIN Class A, mutual monitoring and automatic takeover on fault. Alarm: visual and acoustic.
