Short description
The ICO240 provides a controlled CO2 incubation environment for cell culture applications. Designed for reproducible conditions, it offers precise CO2 and temperature control, optional active humidity and oxygen management, and an intuitive 6.86″ IPS touch interface for laboratory workflows.

Range of functions

• Calibration: three freely selectable calibration values — temperature, humidity, CO2.
• Interfaces: USB-C, Ethernet LAN.
• Timer modes: immediate start; SetpointWAIT (start after all setpoints reached); Timer on Event (start at defined time).
• Language support: English, German, French, Spanish, Portuguese, Chinese, Arabic, Hindi, Polish, Czech, Hungarian, Russian, Italian, Serbian.
• Appliance functions: date/time (time zones, summer/winter time), display brightness, DistanceView (1–4 selectable parameters), network settings (IP, subnet, DHCP), buzzer/key tone, power-failure behaviour, timer functions.
• Adjustable parameters: temperature, CO2, humidity (option K7), O2 (option T6).
• Control unit: 6.86″ IPS multi-touch display (480 × 1280 px) with graphical display of actual/setpoint values and parameter curves.

O2 (only with T6 option)
Control: anaerobic O2 control via nitrogen inlet with zirconium oxide sensor, integrated monitoring and error display. Filtered N2 supply. Adjustment precision: 0.1 %. Setting range: 1–20 % O2.

Temperature
Control system: large-area multi-zone all-round heating with additional door, seal and rear-wall heating. Setting range: +20 to +50 °C. Working range: from ambient +5 °C up to +50 °C. Built-in sterilisation programme: 60 min at 180 °C (sensors remain in place). Setting accuracy: 0.1 °C. Spatial variation at +37 °C: ±0.3 K. Temporal fluctuation at 37 °C: ±0.1 K.

Humidity
Humidification: passive water tank with condensate return and Peltier limitation; option K7 = active closed-loop humidity control with capacitive sensor, micro-dosing pump for hot steam, and diaphragm pump for dehumidification. Accuracy: 0.5 % rH. Setting range: 40–98 % rH and rh-Off.

CO2
Control: dual-beam NDIR CO2 measurement with integrated monitoring and pressure compensation. Filtered CO2 supply. Temporal fluctuation: ±0.2 %. Setting range: 0–20 % CO2.

Safety
Power-failure behaviour: manual mode / short outages (<24 h) terminate active processes but retain parameters; longer outages may continue with previous parameters. Program mode: outages <1 h continue; >1 h stop programme and require query for continuation. Temperature monitoring: dual Pt1000 sensors (DIN Class A) with mutual monitoring and automatic takeover. Alarms: visual and acoustic.

Standard equipment
Standard features: door-open detection (V5). Factory calibration certificates: I (standard: +37 °C, 5 % CO2); II (option K7: +37 °C, 5 % CO2, 90 % RH); III (option T6: +37 °C, 5 % CO2, 90 % RH, 10 % O2).
