1. SVC STATION
– The static VAR compensators (SVC’s) improves power system transmission, distribution performance and control reactive power.
– A harmonic filter is composed from 3 elements: Capacitors, Inductors and Resistors.
– Inductors and capacitors divert the harmonics currents into the resistor where they are dissipated in a safe way.
