Welding and Construction of Mechanical Components
Metal carpentry processes (welding and construction of mechanical components) create the load-bearing structures for subsequent mechanical processes from a CNC milling and boring work center.
Metalstar 2000 is able to perform both phases within its own workshops, varying the type of structures involved depending on the materials, complexity and size of the project and final product.
11 MIG Welding Stations
The carpentry department is equipped with a constantly updated and multifunctional machine park, with 11 MIG welding stations and a special cabin for grinding.
MIG welding (also called MAG) is the most widespread among the various types of welding and is required for high productivity processes with high flexibility of use. It consists of continuous wire welding processes where a covering gas guarantees the protection of the cooking bath.
Carpentry Department
Metal carpentry operations are carried out by qualified personnel who undergo continuous training, with extreme expertise on each individual piece, under the supervision (both in terms of planning and monitoring) of the production manager and the coordinator of welding activities and in full compliance with the procedures provided (internal and legal) and agreements with the customer.
The quality of the welded components is also safeguarded by non-destructive tests, always based on the specifications provided by the client.
On Which Materials
Mechanical carpentry operations can be carried out on a considerable number of materials:
Sheet metal
Iron
