The Metalstar 2000 Mechanical Processing department is equipped with latest-generation CNC work centers (3-4-5 axes), connected to the company network and the technical office for maximum automation, capable of performing complex high-tech and high-precision CNC mechanical processes, both milling and boring, on small, medium and large-sized mechanical components and parts (on single pieces or small batches, maximum structure size in mm: 8000 x 1600 x 3200). 3D CAD CAM and Quality Control Each phase of the mechanical processing is directed via 3D CAD CAM software, further optimizing the management times of two-dimensional and three-dimensional drawings and therefore the entire process. As an extreme guarantee of the specifications provided by the client, Metalstar 2000 is also able to proceed rigorously with the testing and quality and safety control phases with conventional tools (such as calipers and micrometers subjected to periodic calibration) and more complex ones (such as the 3D measurement laser). Optimization of Processes of Machining The design of specific placements for the correct execution of CNC mechanical machining, followed directly by the internal technical office, has a very strong positive impact on the optimization of work: • reduction of production times; • higher quality found in the finished piece; • greater compliance with the tolerances indicated by the customer; • reduction of delivery times.
