Description

Overview
The colorCONTROL MFA is a multi-channel color measurement system for flexible color and intensity inspection of LEDs, displays and colored objects. Flexible sensor placement, high repeatability, fast measurement rates and wide dynamic range enable reliable inline or station-based testing. One controller monitors up to 28 test points depending on the model.

Key features (general)
  • Multi-channel color recognition and measurement
  • Flexible positioning of exchangeable fiber-optic receiver sensors
  • High repeatability and wide intensity dynamic range
  • Support for multiple color spaces and additional color outputs (λdom, CCT)
  • Standard communication: USB / RS422 / RS232

Sensors (receivers) and application notes
Operation requires MFS-series receiver sensors at the measurement points. MFS sensors use polymer optical fiber (POF) and are available in a range of diameters, lengths and mounting versions to detect small light spots (from ≈3 mm) and to fit tight installation spaces. Choose sensor variants according to spot size, working distance and assembly requirements.

Example MFS sensor variants and notes
  • MFS-10: POF with PVC sheath, cut end — general-purpose probe.
  • MFS-I01: very thin Ø ≈1.3 mm, suited for confined spaces and SMD-LED testing; metal sleeve for precise positioning.
  • MFS-22: POF with PVC sheath — alternative dimensions.
  • MFS-K04 / MFS-K04-3 / MFS-K04-6: variants with M4 mounting or different spot sizes (K04-3 smallest spot, K04-6 larger spot).
  • MFS-K05/90: 90° outlet for non-axial installations.
