Applications / Operation modesSuitable for fixed track measurements (e.g., center-line or edge thickness) and for traversing thickness measurements of coated battery film. Systems can be equipped with several sensors to measure up to 8 tracks synchronously, enabling inline process control and SPC monitoring.
Software and system componentsThe thicknessCONTROL systems include an integrated linear unit with motor control, a compact bus terminal box, an automatic calibration unit and a multi-touch PC with pre-installed software. Measurement modes supported by the software include fixed track thickness measurement at any position, thickness profile measurement, measurement of several longitudinal trends, an SPC package and automated verification of the measuring system's capability.
Example system (BTG8702 2C.4K)The thicknessCONTROL BTG8702 2C.4K consists of two robust measuring frames, each containing confocal sensors. The system monitors up to 8 tracks of coated film with a total width of up to 1.6 m. Robust design provides high-precision long-term measurements in dry coating processes. For fully automatic calibration, the measurement frames travel back to their parking station.
