Description

4 port HD-SDI Video TDM Module 3 slot module XFP line interface DDM (Digital Diagnostic Monitoring) 4 x Video interface via 75 Ohm coaxial interface supporting following standards: SMTPE259-C or SD-SDI (270 Mb/s), SMTPE292M or HD-SDI (1.485 Gb/s, 1.485/1.001 Gb/s), DVB-ASI Standard Remote Management with embedded 10Mb/s DCC TDM multiplex of 1GbE, 1 FE, 4 Video access Optional Encryption of line side Optional Drop and Continue feature for Video broadcasting The MICROSENS Video TDM is highly suitable to Broadcast/Media industry that is faced with the ever-increasing demand for cost-effective streaming of video signals over fiber cables. It is part of the MICROSENS MSP 3000 platform. It aggregates up to four HD-SDI or SD-SDI with one GbE and one FE on one 10 Gb/s wavelength. Multiple wavelengths can be muxed together with WDM (Wave Division Multiplexing) and transported over fiber. Each video port auto-senses between SDI, HD-SDI-PAL, HD-SDI-NTSC signals and is individually configurable. This module eliminates the need for network edge elements such as SDI encoders and ATM switches that are traditionally required for native video transport. Furthermore, it simplifies the carrier’s network and reduces the operational cost of managing new and complex network elements. The Video TDM module is hot-swappable and takes 3 slots in a MICROSENS chassis. On the client side it uses Coaxial BNC interfaces for SDI ports, a standard RJ45 port for FE and SFP for the GbE port. On the line side, it uses XFP interfaces.
