Description

The 3DM-GX3®, manufactured by LORD MictroStain®, is a top-performance, miniature AHRS (attitude-heading reference system) which features a GPS that has the combination of MEMS inertial sensors as well as a high-sensitivity embedded GPS receiver. Furthermore, it also features a trixial accelerometer, triaxial gyro, triaxial magnetometer, temperature sensors and a dedicated 32-bit processor which functions through a sophisticated fusion algorithm necessary in providing orientation, inertial as well as GPS measurements. On the other hand, the data, produced from the GPS receiver, is synchronized with time through the inertial sensors. Also, all inertial and GPS data are available as custom user packets ( through polling or continuous stream). This device is a part of the 3DM-GX3® series of inertial sensors. Furthermore, these systems offer a range of output data quantities including fully-calibrated inertial measurements such as: acceleration, angular rate as well as magnetic fields; or delta-theta and delta velocity vectors.
