Description

Intrinsically Safe “ia” ATEX, IECEx, & C-UL-US Input Voltage 14-30 VDC Reverse Polarity Protected Analog Current Output (4 – 20 mA) 2-Wire Version Analog Voltage Output (1 – 5 V) 4-Wire Version Short Circuit Protected Various Sensing Ranges Wide Temperature Range Temperature Compensation PVC Enclosure The RPS-429A-IS is an intrinsically safe analog ultrasonic sensor available in a variety of ranges. The RPS-429A-IS has ATEX & IECEx approval for use in mines susceptible to firedamp (Group 1 protection level Ma), explosive gas atmospheres (Group 2 protection level Ga Zones 0, 1, & 2), and explosive dust atmospheres (Group 3 protection level Da Zones 20, 21, & 22). The RPS-429A-IS also has C-UL-US approval for use in Class I, II, and III Division 1 hazardous locations. Housed in a 30 mm enclosure, it operates on 14–30 VDC with reverse polarity protection and is offered with either a 4–20 mA 2-wire current loop or a 1–5 V 4-wire voltage output, each linearly scaled to the sensor range. Built-in temperature compensation ensures accurate measurements across the operating temperature range, and the fully sealed design requires an IP66/IP67-rated cable connection.
