The OSCI or Octal Serial Communication Interface module represents the PC104-Plus Card with up to 8 freely selectable serial interfaces (RS232 or RS485/RS422) intended for use with any PC/104-Plus system. All port configurations are software controlled, and can be easily changed at a moments notice, while all interfaces can be accessed on a 2.54mm headers (for easy standard serial DSUB-9 connection) and operate with the standard baudrates up to 250 kBaud (the optional RS485/422 interfaces feature up to 6.25 Mbaud and include a 60 V fail safe device).
