The Direct rectangular and square tube mill machine is a high-efficiency machine specially designed for the production of square and rectangular steel pipes. Compared with the traditional process of “forming a circle first and then forming a square”, it directly forms the strip steel into the shape of square or rectangular pipe, eliminating the step of preforming the round pipe. What is a direct square tube mill machine Direct Forming Technology for Square and Rectangular Tube Mill is an advanced production process for producing square and rectangular tubes. It uses a set of combined rollers to produce all available sizes without changing any roller on one mill. It shapes the strip sheet into the tubes by directly rolling the four corners. Through the process of 1st forming of small side, 2nd forming of large side and Fin Pass, it successively achieves the tube formation which will be forwarded for high frequency welding, sizing and straightening. The advanced features of the direct forming technology • Only 1 set of combined rollers to carry out all the different and available sizes on one mill without changing any single roller, which saves roller cost around 60% than process of “Rounf to Square”. • It does not require to change any roller or stand for changing tube size production, only require to adjust the rollers’ position automatically by motor drive, which can save roller setting-up time ≥85%. • It reduces the rolling load during production, which can save ≥30% energy consumption than process of “Round to Square”. • It can save 2~3% of raw material for same size than process of “Round to Square”.
