Big size pipe mill machine is specialized in producing large caliber welded pipes, usually producing diameters ranging from Φ219mm to Φ660mm (or larger), with wall thicknesses of up to 10-25mm, adapting to the needs of different pipe diameters.
They are usually used to manufacture large pipes for the transportation of fluids such as oil, natural gas, water, etc. They are also widely used for structural steel pipes.
Components of big size pipe mill line
Uncoiling and leveling system
• Uncoiler: unrolls the coil and feeds it into the production line.
• Leveling machine: makes initial corrections to the strip to ensure flatness.
Shear butt welding system
• Shearing equipment: removes irregular edges or butt welds the strip.
• Butt-welding machine: Realize the first and last welding of the strip to guarantee the continuous production.
Material storage system
• Usually floor-standing spiral live sleeve for temporary storage of strip to ensure continuous operation of the production line.
Forming system
• Roll forming unit: Gradually bends the strip coil into a pipe billet through a series of forming rolls.
• Finishing forming unit: further precise adjustment of pipe diameter and shape.
Welding System
• High-frequency welding machine: adopts high-frequency induction heating to realize efficient welding.
• Weld shaping machine: After welding, the weld is trimmed by rolling or cutting to ensure appearance and smoothness.
Cooling and dimensioning system
• Water-cooling unit: Quickly cools the welded pipe and stabilizes the pipe size.
• Sizing unit: further adjust and correct pipe diameter.
