Application Guidance

For valves, specify each flanged connection and provide photos showing valve body, handle or actuator; a band around one flange does not enclose valve mechanisms. For spray-shield duties, state required protective performance and any test requirements. An external metal band alone is not a validated pressure seal or mist-suppression system unless additional internal mesh or construction is specified and agreed.

Installation and Inspection
Have authorized personnel install the guard under site safe-work procedures, including isolation, depressurization and cooling where required. Do not approach active leaks to install or adjust a cover. Verify clearance around bolts and surrounding equipment before engaging the latch. Do not force or distort the band to compensate for incorrect size. Inspect band, tabs and closure for damage, deformation or corrosion before reuse. This product is an external guard and is not a pressure-retaining repair clamp; it does not repair failed gaskets, damaged flanges or defective bolted connections.
