Description

Overview
A one-time investment creates a lifetime of productivity. Entry-level, quick to integrate, and reprogrammable as needed, Okuma robotic system offerings automate loading, unloading, part transfers and other material-handling tasks to increase machine utilization and enable continuous production.
  • Minimize machine idle time and increase throughput with continuous operations
  • Repeatable speed and precision reduce variation between shifts
  • Modular automation that can scale with production requirements
  • Full support from Okuma Factory Automation, available 24/7/365

Okuma Robot Loader – Rotary (ORL-R)
Designed for high-speed, high-volume production of identical components, the ORL-R uses a rotating platform with disc-style storage to supply raw materials and remove finished parts while the robot loads and unloads the machine.
  • Handles up to 166 workpieces on lathes, mills or grinders; small, medium and large templates included
  • Set up in fewer than ten conversational steps to speed deployment and reduce training time
  • Enables unmanned production for day-and-night operation
  • Compact footprint supports retrofit to existing Okuma machines
  • Pre-engineered automation option with entry pricing under $100k

Specifications (ORL-R)
  • Part size: length range 0.75 in. to 11 in.
  • Part weight capacity: up to 33 lbs. (dual-part handling)
  • Machine pairings: GENOS L and LB Series

Okuma Robot Loader – Drawer (ORL-D)
The ORL-D is optimized for dual-process operations, allowing simultaneous or parallel loading and unloading. Drawer stockers enable robot operation while operators load or unload parts easily when required.
  • Handles up to 92 workpieces on a lathe, machining center or grinder; optional templates expand capacity to 180 (smaller) or 42 (larger)
  • Set up in fewer than ten conversational steps to speed deployment and reduce training time
  • Enables unmanned production for day-and-night operation
  • Easily reprogrammable to adapt to changing tasks and production needs
  • Pre-engineered automation option with entry pricing under $100k

Specifications (ORL-D)
  • Part size: length range 0.75 in. to 6.25 in.
  • Part weight capacity: up to 33 lbs. (dual-part handling)
  • Machine pairings: MULTUS B, LU EX, LT EX, LB EX Series

Okuma Robot Loader – Machining Center (ORL-MC)
For mixed-part, low-volume automation, the ORL-MC features a three-sided rotating station enabling parallel loading and unloading with automatic changeover between operations.
  • Handles up to 288 parts
  • Set up in fewer than ten conversational steps to speed deployment and reduce training time
  • Requires only 9 ft of working floor space
  • Enables unmanned production for day-and-night operation
  • Pre-engineered automation option with entry pricing under $100k

Specifications (ORL-MC)
  • Part size: max dimensions 8.5 in. x 8 in. x 9 in.
  • Part weight capacity: up to 25 lbs., including jaws
  • Machine pairings: GENOS M460-VE, GENOS M460V-5AX, GENOS M560-V, GENOS M560V-5AX, MB-46V II, MB-56V

Okuma Mobile Robot Series (OMR)
The OMR series comprises collaborative mobile robots for high-mix, low-volume production that automate workpiece mounting and removal while allowing operator access to the machine interior.
  • Models: OMR10 (5 kg payload) and OMR20 (10 kg payload)
  • Operators can access the machine interior even with an OMR installed at the front
  • Reduced stocker setup time when changing workpieces (approx. 1 minute)
  • Complete new workpiece startup in approx. 10 minutes with parameter entry and saved stocker settings
  • End effectors: three-jaw workpiece hand and parallel hand; no safety fence required

Specifications (OMR)
  • Part weight capacity: up to 10 kg
  • Machine pairings: MULTUS B250II, MULTUS B300II, LB2000 EX II, LB3000 EX III, LB4000 EX III, GENOS L250II, GENOS L400II, MB-46VII, MB-56VII, GENOS M460-VE, GENOS M560-V
  • Workpiece stocker: up to 80 workpieces

ARMROID
ARMROID is a built-in robotic arm integrated inside the machine tool to perform loading, unloading, chip removal and other functions from a single operator panel for simplified operation and improved floor-space efficiency.
  • Multiple end-effector and stocker configurations available
  • Built-in design saves shop floor space
