Description

Metal Spring-Energized C-Seal — High-Performance Face Seal for Extreme Industrial Service
The Metal Spring-Energized C-Seal is an all-metal, spring-energized face seal designed for static sealing applications in pumps, valves, compressors, turbines, and pressure vessels operating under extreme conditions. Its self-pressurizing C-profile jacket maintains hermetic, metal-to-metal contact across the full operating range, with sealing performance that improves proportionally with system pressure.
Operating range covers cryogenic temperatures down to -269°C up to +1,100°C, and from ultra-high vacuum (10⁻⁷ Pa) to pressures exceeding 5,500 bar (5.5 × 10⁸ Pa). Leakage rates as low as 10⁻¹² mbar·l/s are achievable with appropriate surface treatment.
Available in Alloy X-750, Alloy 718, and 304 stainless steel, with spring options including Elgiloy and Nimonic 90. Silver, gold, and nickel coatings available. Circular and non-circular configurations (square, rectangular, oval, racetrack) from 9.5 mm to 4,500 mm diameter.
Fire-safe, radiation-resistant, PFAS-free, and compatible with aggressive chemicals, cryogens, and hydrogen service. Suitable for oil and gas, power generation, aerospace, nuclear, hydrogen energy, semiconductor, and life science applications.
The preferred metal sealing solution when temperature, pressure, leakage, or safety requirements exceed the limits of elastomeric and polymer seals.Metal Spring-Energized C-Seal — High-Performance Face Seal for Extreme Industrial Service
