Description

Product overview
PAMA SPEEDMAT boring and milling centers combine damping and high rigidity with precision for heavy-duty machining. The machines feature a T-type structure with a movable column and a travelling table; the column is thermally symmetric with a central headstock to maximize geometric accuracy. Available in pure milling or multitasking milling-and-turning configurations.

Headstock options
  • W headstock: boring bar with mechanical (2-range) transmission
  • WD headstock: boring bar with Direct Drive transmission
  • MD headstock: motorized spindle with Direct Drive transmission


Design & features
Structures are engineered by finite element analysis to optimise mass distribution, static and dynamic rigidity, and thermal symmetry. W and WD boring spindles include a feedback system to compensate thermal elongation (PAMA patent). Milling tables use hydrostatic rotary axes for high stiffness and damping. For multitasking, TRT hydrostatic tables deliver enhanced turning performance. Machine versatility is increased with CNC attachment heads, palletised tables, automatic tool and head changing systems. CNC controls available: Siemens, Heidenhain, Fanuc.
