Our own vision of DC switchgear allowed PLUTON experts to create a conceptually new design characterized by compact size, maintainability, operational reliability and personnel safety. Specific features: application of AFB® arc-free ultra high-speed DC circuit breaker with innovative principle of power circuit opening in vacuum allows using half the size of work space in comparison with standard circuit breaker; uni- or bilateral maintenance, as well as free access to units and components, located in the upper part of the device; built-in microprocessor traction network monitoring and protection system SMTN-3/SOTA®; well-thought-out ventilation system and IP 33 protection level provide well-balanced thermal operation mode. Additional benefits: high assurance of personnel safety due to electromechanical interlockings and protections; intelligent control, protection and diagnostics system; compliance with EN 50123-1/IEC 61992-1, EN 50123-6/IEC 60992-6 international standards. AFB® arc-free ultra high-speed circuit breaker with improved operational characteristics is applied in DC switchgear: no open arc; lowest maintenance; high wear resistance and long lifetime; high-speed contacts opening system; minimum tripping time; equipped with control and internal monitoring system; protection functions: Imax protection and di/dt protection.
