Description

Overview
POWDER DS offers three conveying technologies to transport powdered and granular materials: drag chain (disc) conveyors, pneumatic conveyors and screw (spiral) conveyors. Solutions include fixed and mobile units and series designed for feeding hoppers, flour mills and dosing systems, enabling integration of multiple sources (silos, hoppers, big-bags) and unloading at several points.

Drag Chain Conveyors
Drag chain conveyors (disc conveyors) are closed-tube systems composed of circular discs linked by a chain or cable. Discs move the product using an automatic chain/cable tensioner and a gear unit. Systems can load from multiple silos, hoppers or bulk bags and unload at several points along the route. Units are designed for straightforward installation and reduced maintenance. The TD series by POWDER DS is used to feed flour mills and hoppers, optimising filling and reducing manual handling.

Pneumatic Conveyors
POWDER DS provides pneumatic conveying by suction (vacuum) or by pressure. Suction systems (TPF series) use a pump to create vacuum in the tubing to transport ingredients to a single final hopper for controlled dosing. Pressure systems use a blower or pump at the start of the route to send components to different destinations. A mobile pneumatic conveyor (TPM series) is available for flexible on-plant filling, enabling sifting and loading at different locations.

Screw Conveyors
Screw conveyors (spiral conveyors) are suited for short distances and for handling solid products in powder or granulated form. They consist of a geared motor driving a helical screw inside a conduit that moves ingredients to the unloading point. Mobile screw solutions (TS series), including screw elevators for high filling points, are available with integrated sifting prior to dosing.

Available series and examples
  • TD Series — Drag chain / disc conveyors
  • TP / TPF / TPM Series — Pneumatic conveyors (TPF suction; TPM mobile; TP as series reference)
  • TS Series — Screw conveyors and screw elevators
