Product description
DamSeaL is a high-performance, environmentally friendly, non-toxic cross-linked superabsorbent polymer powder formulated to seal leaks and seepage in earth dams, cement/concrete dams and related substrates. On contact with water the polymer swells and bonds within cracks and voids to create a flexible sealing layer that secures stored water resources.

Application methods

• Coverage rate: use 1 kg of DamSeaL powder per 10 m² of surface area as a baseline.
• Even spreading: apply with a handheld seed or fertilizer spreader for small to medium areas.
• Drone application: recommended for large areas (>1 ha) requiring rapid and uniform distribution.
• Boat application: suitable for dams up to 3–4 hectares; use GPS-equipped boats for precision spreading.
• Dry application: for dry dams spread powder evenly and cover with 2–3 cm of topsoil to promote settling.

Precautions

• Avoid application in strong winds or high-current conditions that may disperse the powder.
• Ensure a minimum water depth of 500 mm to provide sufficient hydrostatic pressure for sealing.
• Maintain a minimum dam wall gradient of 45° to facilitate polymer settling into cracks.
• Not suitable for PVC-lined or concrete-surfaced dams without prior evaluation.
• Increase dosage according to site salinity; higher salinity reduces swelling capacity.

Packaging
Supplied in 5 L or 20 L plastic pails; customized packaging and palletization options available on request.

Storage & handling
Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated area. Keep containers tightly sealed to avoid moisture uptake. Handle as a dry powder with standard PPE for dust. Shelf life: 24 months under recommended storage conditions.
