Combiflex is the single-disc pneumatic brake for unwinders and rewinders that has redefined standards in the converting and printing industry since 1974. It is the benchmark for those seeking perfectly controlled web tension, reduced waste and maximum productivity. Thanks to a constantly improved design, Combiflex ensures optimal heat dissipation, prolonging component life, reducing maintenance costs and guaranteeing consistent end-product quality. The absence of residual torque, high sensitivity and linearity of operation together with asbestos-free pads, protecting the environment and the health of operators, are just some of the most important features. The internal turbine disc directs air flow to crucial areas of the brake, increasing heat dissipation and improving long-term reliability. Its modular design allows the CX pneumatic brake to be adapted to any application requirement: available in different sizes, it is possible to choose the number and the torque percentage of each caliper, the fan, the pads and hubs models. Combiflex can be equipped with reduced torque calipers by 10%, 16% or 40% to ensure stable and optimal tension control even in applications involving lightweight materials or narrow web widths. Thanks to this feature, when controlled by e tension regulator with Selematic system, the Combiflex pneumatic brake can dynamically adjust the braking force in real time based on the application’s requirements.
