The off-center cells have the property of guaranteeing the insensitivity of the measurement to the application of the off-center load within a certain dimension, which represents the "flat". Within the dimensions of the plate it is therefore possible to carry out the measurement with only one off-center cell. They are cells widely used for the construction of scales. In some cases the application of the Load Cells is in environments at risk of explosion: in this circumstance it is mandatory to refer to the cells explicitly approved for this use, i.e. the Atex certified Load Cells. The use of these cells, together with the necessary external protection devices, allows the measurement to be carried out in complete safety even in such environmental conditions.
