RIMOSTAT® RS friction torque limiters designed for high torque consistency even in applications with frequent slipping.

Advantages

• Particularly suitable in applications with frequent slipping
• Better stability of slipping torque than Belleville spring torque limiters over duration of the operating period
• Adjustment of slipping torque by number of active springs rather than by modifying spring preload

Function

• When the preset slipping torque is reached the built-in component (e.g. chain wheel) slips
• During slipping, input and output rotate relative to each other while the preset slipping torque continues to be transmitted
• Slipping involves high energy consumption
• Re-engagement is not required
