Product overviewRösler Surf-Finisher systems enable targeted finishing of single, clamped components by avoiding part-to-part contact. Parts are fixed to processing spindles or robot fixtures and immersed in a tank with finishing media. Relative motion is generated by rotating the work bowl or the clamped parts, producing grinding, deburring, polishing or edge rounding depending on media and parameters. Media developed for intensive processing deliver repeatable, economical surface results.
System highlights- Designed for delicate, complex and clamped single components
- Processing intensity significantly higher than conventional vibratory systems (page references: up to 40×; Surf-Finisher up to 50× in specific cases)
- Intelligent process control for reproducible results
- Combinable process steps (pre-grinding, fine grinding, polishing)
- Automation-ready: integration into production cells and robotic loading possible
- Available in variants for large or heavy components
Single-part processing types (overview)- Plunge grinding (Plunge Grinding): For heavy or long single parts (indicative max length ~800 mm, max weight up to ~800 kg). Suitable for individual component processing in aerospace and automotive; working spindle can perform multiple movements to optimize results.
- Drag Finishers: Compact, powerful units for line integration. Typically 2–6 working spindles hold and immerse parts. Suitable for wet and dry processing; available with manual clamping or fully automated robotic handling.
- Surf-Finisher: The most intensive mass-finishing type for high-precision clamped shapes. Offers a process-stable alternative to manual brushing, belt sanding or polishing, enabling very high processing intensity.
- Multi-Surf-Finisher: Simultaneous processing of several parts; both spindles and work bowl rotate for increased intensity. Loading can be manual or automated by industrial robot.
