Product overviewExSens passive analog sensors measure temperature, humidity or pressure in hazardous locations and are manufacturer-certified for ATEX environments. These sensors are passive and potential-free; they require connection to a compatible external transmitter (e.g. EXLIM-9182) which converts the sensor resistance into an active 4–20 mA signal (optional 0–10 V).
Key features- Designed for installation in hazardous zones: sensor placed in the hazardous area, transmitter/module installed in the safe area
- Passive, potential-free sensors requiring an external transmitter to generate an active output
- Signal conversion by transmitter: passive resistance → 4–20 mA (optionally 0–10 V)
- Available for temperature, humidity or pressure depending on sensor model
- Delivery unit: single sensor per order line
Technical specifications- Measured variables: temperature, humidity or pressure (model dependent)
- Certification: manufacturer certification for use in hazardous locations (ATEX referenced)
- Sensor type: passive, potential-free; requires external transmitter
- Typical compatible transmitter example: EXLIM-9182 (transmitter not included)
- Example sensor models: TFT-2G3D (temperature), TFH-2G (cable temperature), TFK-2G3D (duct temperature), TFM-2G (mean temperature), TFR-2G3D (room temperature), TFR-AN-2G3D (contact temperature), TFFR-2G (temperature and humidity), FFR-2G (room humidity), FFK-2G (duct moisture)
- Ordering example: 1 × FFR-2G for a room humidity sensor
