Machine tap made of cobalt-alloyed high-performance high-speed steel, with reinforced shank for through threads. The higher heat resistance ensures a longer service life. For through threads and blind holes in unalloyed and alloyed steels up to 1000 N/mm² strength and non-ferrous metals. The thread is cut in a single operation. Like HSS high-speed steel, with 5% cobalt alloy. This heat-resistant material is used for machining materials with higher strength and for long cutting channels with correspondingly high heat generation. The 5% cobalt content ensures higher heat resistance and higher load-bearing capacity.
