OverviewThe P2 from Salvagnini combines productivity (automatic bending and handling cycles) and flexibility through universal in-cycle bending tools that adapt to panel geometry. Designed for kit, batch-one and mixed production, it provides automatic handling, tool adaptation and sensor-driven real-time compensation.
Key benefits- Automatic bending and handling cycles for high throughput
- Universal in-cycle tools (upper/lower blade, counterblade, blankholder) that adapt without manual retooling
- Suitable for single-unit, kit and small-batch production
- MAC3.0 adaptive system measures and compensates material and environment variations in real time
- Low environmental impact: direct drive and sealed long-life oil circuit
- Industry 4.0 connectivity via LINKS, STREAM and OPS
- Modular options: P tool, CLA tools, CUT, DPM manipulator, P-Robot integration
How it worksThe four universal tools process a wide range of materials and thicknesses (typ. 0.4–3.2 mm) during the cycle without downtime. The sheet is centered once against controlled mechanical stops; interpolated blade movements perform bends on all edges while minimizing cycle time and absorbing positioning errors into the first bend.
Adaptive system and intelligence- MAC3.0: sensors, bending formula and algorithms detect material/mechanical variations and adjust bending parameters automatically
- Bending formula: computes forces and movements from deflection, temperature and thickness to ensure precision and repeatability
- LINKS / STREAM / OPS: software ecosystem for connectivity, programming and factory integration
Product versatility and optional devices- Auxiliary tools for special geometries and automated loading/unloading (PIN2 door, PIN3 robot)
- P tool for narrow panels, tubular or radius bends and intrusive embossings
- CLA tools: modular auxiliary blades for partial folds and short bends
- CUT option: P tool + auxiliary blade for sequential automatic cutting of profiles
- DPM manipulator: suction-cup handling for narrow parts (min width 105 mm; with P tool panels down to 45 mm)
- P-Robot: integration with robot for autonomous kit and single-part production
Applications / Examples- Refrigeration and appliance doors
- Elevator doors and galvanized steel doors
- Industrial panels for automotive, appliances, HVAC, signage and subcontracting
