Shuttle storage system X-PTS®

Product overview
X-PTS® is a shuttle-based automated storage and retrieval system for lightweight loads, designed as a core technology for goods-to-person and goods-to-robot solutions. It concentrates vertical density and high throughput in distribution and production environments.

Flexibility
X-PTS® shuttles operate at ambient, chilled or freezing temperatures (down to -25 °C / -13 °F). Shuttles can be fitted with fixed- or variable-width grippers to handle tubs, boxes and trays stored together on the same level.

Performance
The system uses an elevator based on a patented dual-cradle concept. Each elevator picks up and puts down four containers per cycle, enabling throughput of up to 1100 ins and outs per hour per aisle, depending on layout and configuration.

Height and density
Systems can be deployed to heights up to 20 meters to maximize vertical storage and enable multi-level picking stations. Multiple layout options minimize footprint while increasing storage density.

Storage versatility
Depending on configuration, the system can accommodate two 600×400 mm (23.6"×15.7") containers in depth or four compartmentalizable 400×300 mm (15.7"×11.8") containers. Supported load sizes range from 265×265 mm (10.4"×10.4") to 820×620 mm (32.3"×24.4").

Maintenance & availability
Aisles are subdivided into isolated, secure maintenance access zones so that only shuttles in the affected zone are temporarily stopped during intervention, while the rest of the system remains operational to preserve overall availability.
