Description

Overview
The CrimpLine 640 EXTENDED is a crimping machine for applying individual terminals to single and multi-core wires with medium cross-sections. The operator positions the wire and starts the cycle via the foot switch. The machine design emphasises reproducible crimp connections, short set-up times and modular expandability. Crimp applicators are interchangeable via a quick-change device to process different terminal types. Crimping speed and process parameters are adjustable to suit terminal and wire geometry.

Operating interface
The unit is operated via an HMI (STI 2015) touchscreen with an intuitive menu, multilingual support, configurable user roles and selectable operating modes. Network functions enable integration into production lines and remote monitoring.

Safety and compliance
Operator safety is provided by a monitored sliding cover that interrupts the electrical safety circuit when opened and stops the machine. A manual handwheel allows safe test operation after changeover or maintenance. The machine meets applicable European directives for mechanical and electrical safety and electromagnetic compatibility. Illustrations are exemplary and may show options or specific equipment.
