Description

Overview
The SEVEN 3S-RH&AT-MB is a capacitive sensor for measuring relative humidity and ambient temperature. An alternative variant (3S-RH/AT/PS-MB) adds barometric pressure measurement. The unit includes mounting hardware and a multi-plate plastic radiation shield that permits free airflow while protecting the sensing elements from direct solar radiation.

Working principle & communications
The sensor uses a capacitive humidity element protected by a UV-resistant shield to ensure stable readings. Measurement data are transmitted via an RS485 serial interface using Modbus RTU (up to 38400 Baud) for direct integration with PLCs, data loggers and SCADA systems.

Installation
Verify operation at ground level before final mounting. Position the sensor away from heat sources, reflective surfaces and localized thermal disturbances. For rooftop installations, mount on the side facing predominant wind. Install in two steps: secure the support structure, then fasten the sensor to the mount.
