Description

Product overview
The SEVEN 3S-RH&AT is a capacitive relative humidity and ambient temperature sensor designed for precise environmental monitoring. The unit is supplied with a mounting facility and protected from direct solar radiation by an ABS radiation shield with four aspirated plates to ensure free airflow.

Working principle
The sensing element is mounted inside a UV-resistant protective shield. The 3S-RH&AT measures relative humidity and ambient temperature via a measuring transmitter with an I²C output and connects through a 7-pin connector to SEVEN irradiance sensors, Sensor Box types, dataloggers or other receiving devices.

Applications
  • Solar energy systems and PV monitoring
  • Industrial sites and process control
  • Production and manufacturing facilities
  • Warehousing and storage condition monitoring
  • Environmental monitoring in transport vehicles
  • Humidity control for moisture-sensitive products and equipment

Installation
Verify system operation at ground level before final installation. Position the sensor away from dark, reflective or heat-absorbing surfaces and clear of local heat sources (vents, chimneys). For rooftop installations, mount on the building side facing prevailing winds. Installation is performed in two stages: install the mounting structure, then secure the sensor to the framework.

Key benefits
  • High accuracy: Precise humidity and temperature measurements with minimal variation.
  • Weather resistance: Plastic ABS shield and robust housing provide corrosion and UV resistance.
  • Shielded design: UV-resistant radiation shield protects sensing elements for consistent readings.
