Description

Tubular heat exchanger is currently the most widely used heat exchanger in chemical and alcohol production. It is mainly composed of a shell, a tube sheet, a heat exchange tube, a head, a baffle, etc. Shown is a schematic diagram of the most common type of tube-and-tube heat exchanger-the fixed tube plate type. A lot of parallel pipes are installed in the circular shell. The two ends of the tube bundle are welded or expanded on the tube plate (commonly known as the flower plate). The head with the inlet and outlet pipes is connected with the tube plate welded on both ends of the shell with screws. The space between the tube sheet and the tube sheet constitutes a fluid distribution chamber. Since the tube sheet is welded to the shell and the pipe, the position is completely fixed, so it is called the fixed tube sheet type. When performing heat exchange, a fluid enters through the connecting pipe of the head, flows through the pipe, and flows out from the outlet pipe at the other end of the head, which is called the tube pass; the other fluid enters through the connecting pipe of the shell, and flows from the outlet pipe at the other end of the head. The other pipe on the shell flows out, which is called the shell side. In a tubular heat exchanger, the surface area of the tube bundle is the heat transfer area of the heat exchanger. When the heat transfer area is large and the number of tubes is large, in order to increase the flow rate of the fluid in the tube and increase the heat transfer film coefficient of the fluid on one side of the tube, all the tubes are often divided into several groups evenly, and the fluid flows through only one group of tubes at a time.
