OverviewThis FA13B wind speed sensor (anemometer) is engineered for crawler cranes, bridge inspection vehicles and other large cantilever cranes. The pendulum self-balance design with a 140° swing range enables fast horizontal wind speed measurement. The unit employs non-contact magnetic detection and integrates RF/EMI protection, lightning surge protection and a sensitive temperature sensor with automatic PTC heating for freezing conditions. Wind cups and housing use a maze-structure connection; bearings are high-grade and cups are stainless steel. The aluminium-alloy housing has a polyester coating and the internal PCB is conformally coated and sealed to resist water, salt fog and sand/dust.
