Type QT Heat staking threaded inserts Features: 1:Opposite helical knurl bands provide balanced high torque and high pull-out performace 2:Ultrasoinc/Heat staking threaded inserts 3:Designed for thermoplastic (PPS,ABS,PP etc) General description： Designed for quick installation into thermoplastics using heat or ultrasonics. It features opposing helical knurled belts that provide a combination of high torque and pullout resistance. Advantage： Allows for thin boss walls to allow for compact boss designs Provides high torque and pullout performance Quick installation using heat or ultrasonic Available lengths Self-Aligning Assisted Installation Installation： Fasteners can be installed using the preheat process or using the heat from ultrasonic vibrations. Where preheat is used, care must be taken to ensure that the fasteners soften but do not melt the plastic. This will avoid unsightly flashing on the top of the blade. Any trend, ultrasonic installations are best performed using low amplitude vibration and minimum power consistent with satisfactory softening of the plastic material. In either case, excessive pressure should be avoided as this could cause the insert to be forced into the hole without allowing the plastic to soften and flow around the surface contour.
