Even with high-purity gases, contaminants may originate from regulators or other gas-line components; an additional gas filter is therefore essential.

Introducing the Shimadzu Super-Clean Gas Filter The Shimadzu Super-Clean Gas Filter is engineered to remove hydrocarbons, moisture and oxygen and to deliver an outlet gas of 99.9999% purity. It reduces column degradation, prevents ghost peaks and baseline fluctuations, minimizes detector noise and helps maintain instrument performance.

Ensure High-purity Gas The filter removes hydrocarbons, moisture and oxygen to provide outlet gas purity of 99.9999%. Using contaminant-free gas reduces column wear, prevents anomalous peaks and baseline drift, and lowers detector noise—critical for reliable GC analyses.

Easy and Leak-tight Replacement The filter design enables quick, tool-free cartridge replacement. Spring-loaded check valves seal when a cartridge is removed and open only when a new cartridge is locked in place, preventing contamination of the system during replacement.

Connections Fittings that connect the filter and gas supply pipe are Shimadzu M type, allowing direct, leak-free connection to Shimadzu gas supply pipes for a clean gas line.

Unique Body Design A plastic body facilitates indicator checks and cartridge replacement. To prevent contaminant diffusion and helium leakage, absorbents are packed in glass inside the plastic body.

Easy-to-read Indicator The filter includes a color-change indicator that signals when the absorbent is saturated and cartridges need replacement.
