Description

Overview
Sterile filtration is a terminal sterilization method for liquids used in laboratory, pharmaceutical and clinical workflows. Single-use sterile syringe filters remove particulates and microorganisms prior to analysis, formulation or administration.

Key features
  • Bacterial challenge: LRV > 7 (ATCC 19146, ASTM bacterial challenge test) for 0.2 µm and 0.45 µm lots
  • Bacterial endotoxin: < 0.25 EU/mL or < 2.15 EU/device (LAL) per lot
  • Biosafety: Meets USP<88> Biological Reactivity test for Class VI Plastics
  • Lot QC tested for burst pressure, back pressure (BP) and flow rate; filter funnels tested for seal and membrane integrity
  • Hydrophilic membranes with low protein and pharmaceutical adsorption

PES
Polyethersulfone (PES) hydrophilic membrane suitable for aqueous and slightly organic liquids. Good chemical stability versus acids and bases and low adsorption for pharmaceuticals and proteins.

P/N | Membrane | Pore Size | Outer Diameter | Content pcs/pack
380-00305 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.1 µm | 13 mm | 50
380-00306 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 13 mm | 50
380-00307 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 13 mm | 50
380-00308 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.1 µm | 25 mm | 50
380-00309 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 25 mm | 50
380-00310 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50

380-00317 | Sterile PES Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50

PES+GF Double Filter
Combi filters pair a coarse glass-fibre (GF) prefilter with a small-pore hydrophilic PES membrane. Recommended for samples with high particulate load or viscous solutions; suitable for aqueous and slightly organic liquids.

P/N | Membrane | Pore Size | Outer Diameter | Content pcs/pack
380-00318 | Sterile PES+GF double layer Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 33 mm | 50
380-00319 | Sterile PES+GF double layer Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50

CA
Cellulose acetate (CA) hydrophilic membrane for filtration of water-soluble oligomers and polymers; especially suited to biological macromolecules with high conformational stability in aqueous solutions. Extremely low protein binding.

P/N | Membrane | Pore Size | Outer Diameter | Content pcs/pack
380-00327 | Sterile CA Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 33 mm | 50
380-00328 | Sterile CA Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50

CA+GF Double Filter
Combi CA+GF filters combine a glass-fibre prefilter and a hydrophilic CA membrane. Recommended for high particulate load or viscous aqueous solutions.

P/N | Membrane | Pore Size | Outer Diameter | Content pcs/pack
380-00329 | Sterile CA+GF double layer Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 33 mm | 50
380-00330 | Sterile CA+GF double layer Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50

PVDF
Hydrophilic PVDF membrane suitable for 100% aqueous samples and proteins; very low protein binding and high compatibility with biological samples.

P/N | Membrane | Pore Size | Outer Diameter | Content pcs/pack
380-00335 | Sterile PVDF Syringe Filter | 0.22 µm | 33 mm | 50
380-00336 | Sterile PVDF Syringe Filter | 0.45 µm | 33 mm | 50
