Overview
The MarvelXACT UHPLC connection system is engineered for ultra-high performance liquid chromatography to minimise dead volume, simplify connections and deliver reproducible chromatography under high pressure. The system combines a zero-dead-volume tip design with a patented torque-limiting mechanism and multiple material options to suit analytical requirements.

The MarvelXACT connection system
MarvelXACT provides reliable, repeatable face sealing on 10-32 tapered ports. An integrated, patented torque-limiting mechanism prevents over- or under-tightening and gives tactile/audible feedback (a distinct "click") at the optimum torque, enabling correct installation without tools. The sealing technology minimises internal dead volume to reduce carryover, peak tailing and peak broadening. Components are available in bio-inert PEEK, PEEK-lined stainless steel, PEEKsil™ and pure stainless steel. The flexible 1/32in OD capillary facilitates routing, and the patented design adapts automatically to varying port depths. The fittings are rated for high-pressure use and for extended connection cycles.

Conventional fitting vs MarvelXACT
Conventional conical fittings rely on a ferrule plus complex assembly and specialised tooling to achieve a seal, which can increase internal volume and accelerate component wear under high torque. In contrast, MarvelXACT seals at the lower end of the port without a ferrule, simplifying assembly, reducing required torque and increasing the number of reliable connection cycles. The protected tip design ensures zero dead volume (ZDV) and reduces hardware wear, extending component life and improving chromatography.
